OIBK is a flight planning, briefing and reference tool. Official publications (AIP, NOTAM, meteorological products), air traffic services and the approved aircraft documentation always take precedence, and the pilot in command remains responsible for every flight.
1. Not an official or authoritative source
OIBK is not an Aeronautical Information Service (AIS), meteorological authority, NOTAM office or air navigation service provider, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any civil aviation authority. Information shown here may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. The only authoritative sources are the official Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), NOTAM, meteorological products and air traffic services of the relevant state.
2. Flight planning use
OIBK is built for pre-flight planning and briefing by crews, dispatchers and students. Its outputs — nav logs, fuel plans, ICAO flight plans, load & trim sheets and briefings — support, but do not replace, the operator's approved procedures, the official AIP, NOTAM and meteorological products, and air traffic services. Cross-check critical values, especially fuel, weights and limits, against official sources and the approved aircraft documentation. OIBK is not an approved in-flight navigation or terrain-avoidance system.
3. Pilot-in-command responsibility
The pilot in command remains solely responsible for pre-flight planning, obtaining all available information, and the safe conduct of the flight, in accordance with applicable regulations. OIBK is an aid to planning and learning only.
4. Data sources and freshness
Every data block in OIBK shows its source, retrieval time and status (for example LIVE, CURRENT, STALE, EXPIRED, REFERENCE_ONLY or UNAVAILABLE). Airport, runway, frequency and navaid data come from community-maintained reference datasets and are marked REFERENCE_ONLY — they are not verified against the AIP. Weather reports are relayed from third-party providers and may be delayed or unavailable. When data is unavailable, OIBK says so instead of estimating it.
5. Calculations
Navigation, wind, fuel and performance calculations use documented formulas and the inputs you enter. Results depend entirely on those inputs and on the stated assumptions (for example constant TAS and fuel flow, and user-entered wind). They do not account for aircraft-specific performance, climb and descent, holding, or operator fuel policies, and must be checked against the approved aircraft flight manual (AFM/POH).
6. Flight plans are not filed
OIBK prepares ICAO flight plans, briefings and load & trim sheets from your plan. It does not transmit or file flight plans: file them through your ATS reporting office or filing system and confirm their acceptance.
7. Demo and sample data
Some features use clearly labelled demo data (for example demo aircraft profiles). Demo values are approximations for testing the software and must never be used for real flights.
8. No warranty
OIBK is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of OIBK accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from the use of, or reliance on, any information or calculation provided by OIBK.
10. Third-party data and licences
OIBK uses third-party data such as OurAirports (public domain), the NOAA Aviation Weather Center data API, the NOAA/BGS World Magnetic Model and map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors and other providers. Each source remains subject to its own terms and attribution requirements, listed on the About page.
11. Free trial and subscriptions
OIBK is currently offered free of charge as a trial until 25 Oct 2026. After the trial, access to some or all features may require a paid subscription for individual users or organisations. Plans, prices and terms will be published before the trial ends; data you keep in your own browser stays yours.
12. Privacy
In the current version, flights and unit preferences you save are stored only in your own browser on this device. They are not sent to OIBK servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
13. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated as OIBK evolves. Continued use of OIBK after changes means you accept the updated notice.
